In this video tutorial I explain how to think about composition and creating shapes of shadows to help your storytelling in your comics. For more how to draw comics videos please Subscribe to http://www.youtube.com/user/mrramstudios1

This video was done in Sketchbook Pro 7 using a Wacom Cintiq. The page that you are seeing is a page from my comic book Blackstone Eternal. This video shows the process of creating thumbnails and defining the layout of the page. I keep the sketch very loose to work out things like perspective, anatomy, backgrounds details, character designs, etc.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I will be happy to respond. Be sure to check back, I upload at least one video each week!

Thanks for watching! More on the way! 🙂

Hi Robert,
I’ve never used Sketchbook before, I usually use Illustrator for my
illustrations..
Can you tell me the benefits sketchbook has? Also how do you get all your
strokes to be so perfect?

Awesome, been watching all of your videos they are chock full of useful
information. You cover stuff that hardly No one else does, next thing you

What is your opinion on using a Surface vs. Wacom Cintiq with Sketchbook or
MangStudio? I am really trying to branch into digital with my comic and
having a hard time deciding on which way to go.
