I encountered a small dragon painter shop when I was in Japan. I filmed the whole process but my legs were all sore from walking lots that day so I hope it is not too shaky with my cheap camera 😀

http://www.kousyuuya.com/ (His website I think, got this link via comments)

A lot of people have been asking where this shop is located I can only give a rough estimate.
On google maps: http://maps.google.nl/maps?q=36.751522,139.608451&hl=nl&ll=36.752489,139.607048&spn=0.003675,0.008256&sll=36.751522,139.608451&sspn=0.001837,0.004128&gl=nl&t=h&z=18

Asian Dramas, Movies, Music, Arts, News and More says:

*Japanese Artist draws dragon with one brush*

After the initial drawing, he draws in one stroke it starts at 3:00

“Sumie is a type of painting and the materials they use are almost the same
as the ones for calligraphers, however the technique is very different. I
can write calligraphy but I´ve never done Sumie although people are little
surprised as they think it´s the same thing.

I´ve done little research and have found out this great master of Sumie
dragon. The shop is Kousyuuya located in Nikko (日光) and they are
specialised in Hitofude Ryuu (一筆龍 / Dragon with one stroke). They´ve been
drawing Ryuu for four generations of masters and the man in the video is
the current shop owner.

The movement of the brush is just fascinating!”

I definitely want to buy a Japanese painting when I visit one day. I was
trying to navigate through the site, but I’m having a hard time. ;~; I’d
rather buy it in person!

edit: Just found an article in English about this place!

I am *definitely* coming here when I visit Japan!! All I have to decide for
now is which color dragon I’d want! xD The white/gold ones look so elegant
and the green/blue/red ones look powerful.
